OpenAI Previews Private Safety Processing for Zero Data Retention Customers

OpenAI previewed Private Safety Processing, a system designed to detect harmful patterns across related AI interactions without giving OpenAI personnel access to the underlying prompts or responses. The system will support eligible Zero Data Retention API customers.

Highlights

  • ZDR customers’ prompts and responses are not retained after processing or used for training unless they opt in.

  • Customer content can remain on customer-controlled infrastructure. OpenAI is also developing storage encrypted with customer-controlled keys.

  • Automated systems receive only limited safety signals when potential misuse is detected—not the underlying content.

Why it matters: Some AI risks emerge over multiple interactions, but retaining sensitive prompts may conflict with security and regulatory needs. Private Safety Processing offers enhanced monitoring while maintaining control over confidential data.

Write docs 4x faster. Without hating every second.

Nobody became a developer to write documentation. But the docs still need to get written — PRDs, README updates, architecture decisions, onboarding guides.

Wispr Flow lets you talk through it instead. Speak naturally about what the code does, how it works, and why you built it that way. Flow formats everything into clean, professional text you can paste into Notion, Confluence, or GitHub.

Used by engineering teams at OpenAI, Vercel, and Clay. 89% of messages sent with zero edits. Works system-wide on Mac, Windows, and iPhone.

AI and ICU Doctors Made Better Predictions Together

An early-access ICU study found that AI often outperformed individual clinicians when reviewing past cases, while specialists generally performed better during active care. Combining clinician and AI predictions frequently produced the strongest results.
