New LinkedIn research shows that U.S. AI job postings have roughly doubled since 2023. The typical posting lists approximately $177,000 in compensation, compared with $80,000 for a non-AI position.

But access remains uneven. Women accounted for only 26% of U.S. AI hires in 2025, while 91% of AI workers hold at least a bachelor’s degree. Demand is also moving upward: VP of AI postings have increased roughly sixfold.
