This Issue: Claude can now turn a screen recording into a reusable skill. Google’s AI usage is surging. Cursor is making model choice invisible. And AI is moving deeper into healthcare, security, coding, and the job market.

Claude Can Now Learn a Task by Watching You Do It
Anthropic added skill recording to Claude Cowork, letting users record their screen, explain each step aloud, and turn the demonstration into a reusable skill Claude can repeat. The feature is available in the Claude desktop app for Pro, Max, and Team plans.

Why it matters: Teaching AI is moving beyond detailed prompts. When people can demonstrate a workflow once and explain what matters, automation becomes accessible to anyone who knows how to do the task—even if they cannot describe it perfectly in writing.

The Free Playbook Behind Millions in Off-Amazon Revenue
Most eCommerce brands running external traffic aren't scaling — they're just spending.
Wrong channels, no real attribution, and at the end of the month, still no clear answer to the only question that matters: what actually moved your BSR?
The brands getting it right aren't necessarily spending more. They've just stopped guessing. They know which channels pull weight on Amazon listings, which ones look good in a dashboard but bleed budget, and why creator traffic consistently outperforms paid social on ROI when it's set up correctly.
Levanta put together a free playbook breaking down 7 proven external traffic strategies. Inside you'll see how top brands are driving millions in off-Amazon revenue and why most channels underdeliver when brands don't know what to look for before they start spending.
If you're serious about growing outside of PPC, this is worth 5 minutes.

AI Tuberculosis Screening Just Got Much Cheaper
Unitaid and the Clinton Health Access Initiative reached agreements with DeepTek and Delft Imaging to cut the cost of AI chest X-ray screening for tuberculosis. Annual software pricing is dropping from as much as $12,000 to about $2,500 per X-ray machine, making automated screening more reachable for clinics with few radiologists.
This issue also examines FDA-cleared 3D surgical imaging from regular X-rays, the danger of incorrect AI guidance in breast screening, and cancer researchers gaining access to 150 million medical scans. Healthcare AI is moving from “can it work?” to “can it scale where care is hardest to deliver?”

🔥Big news in AI

🔹Google’s AI Growth Is Accelerating Across the Business
Alphabet reported 24% year-over-year revenue growth in Q2, while Google Cloud grew 82%. Gemini reached 950 million monthly active users, Google’s model APIs climbed to 22 billion tokens per minute, and Gemini Enterprise is now used by nearly 90% of the Fortune 100.
🔹Claude Code Can Now Scan for Security Flaws
Anthropic released the Claude Security plugin for Claude Code in beta, letting developers scan recent changes before committing or run a full vulnerability check across an entire codebase. Everything runs from the terminal using the Claude inference already in their workflow.
🔹Claude Can Now Answer Questions About AI and Jobs
Anthropic launched an Economic Index connector for Claude, letting anyone ask which jobs use AI most, what tasks are being automated, and how usage varies by industry or location. Answers are grounded directly in Anthropic’s Economic Index data, with source details and limitations included.

Cursor Can Now Pick the Best AI Model for Every Coding Task
Cursor launched Router for Teams and Enterprise, automatically sending each request to the model best suited for its complexity, context, and cost. Early customers saw frontier-level performance at roughly 30–50% lower cost, with modes for maximizing intelligence, balancing quality, or reducing spend.

The bigger shift is model choice becoming invisible. Instead of developers manually picking one expensive model for everything, Cursor can use cheaper models for routine work and reserve frontier reasoning for harder problems. That could make multi-model AI workflows both more capable and far more economical.

Build Your Own Codex Pet. No Design Skills.
Open Codex, install the hatch-pet skill, then describe the tiny coding companion you want. Codex turns your prompt into a custom animated pet that reacts when it’s idle, thinking, finished, stuck, or clicked — complete with its own personality and sprite file.
The part most people miss: this is not just a cute feature. It turns status updates into something visual, personal, and shareable.

The New AI Jobs Aren’t Where You Think
Indeed Hiring Lab data shows data center job postings have more than doubled in two years, even as broader US job postings and other tech hiring slowed. The surprise is where the jobs are landing: Columbus, Jackson, and Reno are seeing more Big Tech hiring while many of the roles are in installation, maintenance, construction, electrical systems, and engineering.
