Today: Claude spotted an unusual DNA pattern that led scientists to a previously unknown enzyme system. Plus, Meta unveiled new glasses, Gemini added more app connections, and Google launched more expressive AI voices.

Let’s get into it 👇

Claude discovered a new CRISPR-like enzyme system

Anthropic says Claude identified a previously uncharacterized enzyme system while searching a large DNA database. Around 950 AI agents analyzed the data for 21 hours, using 210 million tokens.

Claude gathered more than 200,000 reverse transcriptases, identified 3,500 candidate systems, and narrowed them to 20 for deeper analysis. Human scientists then tested the most promising finding in Anthropic’s laboratory.

Researchers do not yet know what the system does, but its DNA-repeat pattern resembles features found in CRISPR and other programmable biological systems.

This Medical AI Knew When to Call a Human

A medical AI reached 98.9% accuracy when it answered only the 49.4% of cases where its predictions were most stable. Harder cases could be passed to clinicians—but the system was tested on past intensive-care records, not current patients.

The Hidden Cost of AI in B2B Service

A fast answer and a coordinated one are not the same thing. When AI resolves a B2B customer issue without looping in the teams who have to deliver on it, you get confident responses nobody actually signed off on.

A new briefing paper from Harvard Business Review Analytic Services, sponsored by Front, examines the coordination gaps that open up when transactional AI tools meet multi-team B2B service, and how leading companies are using AI to close those gaps instead of widening them.

Read the briefing paper for the questions to ask before your next AI investment.

Google added 13 new app connections to Gemini, including Adobe, Squarespace, Peloton and Experian. Users can edit creative assets, grow their businesses, plan workouts and check credit information through Gemini—reducing the need to switch between different apps and browser tabs.

🔹Meta Just Put More of Its Tech into Glasses

At Meta Connect, Mark Zuckerberg showed several new ways to wear and use Meta’s devices:

Audio glasses: Its lightest frames yet, with no camera and all-day battery
Ray-Ban Meta Gen 3: Longer battery life, upgraded microphones, and new styles
Meta VR Glasses: A private cinema, multiple virtual monitors, and games in glasses rather than a full headset
Muse Charm: A small device for talking to Meta’s AI, planned to ship in December

The range is striking: from glasses made for everyday audio to a full VR experience you can wear on your face.

Which would you actually use?

Watch the full system run live on Sep 30. Walk away ready to do it yourself.

Most founders have LinkedIn traction with nothing to show for it in the CRM. On Sep 30, Maria Gharib (Mindstream) and Valerie Chapman (Ruth AI) walk through the exact system live.

From AI-assisted content creation to sequenced outreach to booked meeting. You'll leave with a process you can run the same day.

Eligible startups also get the LinkedIn-to-Leads Toolkit: ad credits, Apollo, Captions, and HubSpot's Prospecting Agent.

Lovable can help you build an online store without coding

Lovable was used to build a working ecommerce store in about four hours, complete with product pages, a shopping cart, user accounts, Stripe checkout and an admin dashboard. The process involved describing the store in one prompt, enabling the backend, adding products, customizing the design, connecting payments, testing the mobile experience and publishing it with a custom domain.

The agentic era needs a different CRM. That’s Attio.

Parallel, Turbopuffer, and Wordsmith run their entire GTM motion on Attio, with agents that chase every buying signal, build pipeline, and move deals forward, 24/7.
