Today: ChatGPT comes to Word, Meta simplifies computer vision, OpenAI builds for law, and Base44 turns one prompt into an app.

Plus: ChatGPT plugins add multiple accounts, Appshots bring your screen into ChatGPT, and Cognizant bets on 1,500 new AI-era graduates.

Let’s get into it 👇

ChatGPT Comes Directly to Microsoft Word

OpenAI launched ChatGPT for Word, letting users draft, edit, format and review documents without leaving Microsoft Word. It can sharpen sections, summarize long documents, organize plans, proofread writing and explain complex clauses in plain language.

Users can also bring in context from connected apps including Outlook, SharePoint, Google Workspace and Dropbox, while reusable skills help apply consistent instructions across recurring documents. The same Microsoft add-in also supports Excel and PowerPoint.

ChatGPT for Word is available globally across Free, Go, Plus, Pro, Business, Enterprise, Edu, Teachers and K–12 plans.

Could an AI Virtual Cell Help Find Better Cancer Treatments?

Trained on 38 million+ protein measurements, ProteinTalks tracked how breast-cancer cells changed after 63 drugs and 59 combinations. The goal is to help researchers spot promising treatments faster—but it remains an experimental lab tool, not a system used to guide patient care.

🔹ChatGPT plugins can now connect multiple accounts

ChatGPT now lets users connect multiple accounts to most plugins, making it possible to bring context from work and personal services into the same conversation. Developers do not need to change existing integrations, though adding a profile tool to an MCP server can help ChatGPT identify and label connected accounts more clearly.

🔹Meta’s SAM 3.1 brings detection, segmentation and tracking into one API call

Meta made SAM 3.1 available through the Meta Model API, giving developers a lightweight way to find and follow objects across images and video. A short text prompt can return object detections, pixel-level segmentation masks, and identity-preserving video tracks in a single request.

🔹ChatGPT Desktop can now use what’s already on your screen

The ChatGPT desktop app includes Appshots, a feature that captures the context visible on your screen and brings it directly into ChatGPT so you can share what you’re seeing instead of explaining it manually. On macOS, press both Command keys; on Windows, press both Alt keys to get started.

Base44 can turn one prompt into a working contract-review app

A single prompt in Base44 was used to build ClauseCheck, a no-code app that lets users upload a contract and receive a plain-English summary, risky-clause flags, and three questions to ask before signing. Base44 handles the AI layer internally, so there’s no separate API setup, coding, or deployment required.

OpenAI launches Astra for Law for legal research and workflows

OpenAI introduced Astra for Law, combining GPT-6 Astra with specialized legal search, analysis tools, and more than 230 million legal URLs. In testing, it improved legal-research correctness by 40% versus GPT-6 Astra using web search alone.

It also launches with 26 legal plugins and will initially reach selected firms through Trusted Access.

AI May Be Creating a New Entry-Level Career Path

Cognizant plans to recruit 1,500 U.S. graduates while developing 15,000 Frontier Certified Engineers and Business Operators. The bet is that graduates who can apply AI inside real business workflows will become more valuable—not less.
