Today: Anthropic tested AI agents that negotiated for people. Plus, Higgsfield reports a $1 billion revenue run rate—and we show you how to turn one image into a cinematic video.

Let’s get into it 👇

Anthropic Tested AI Agents That Negotiate for People

Anthropic gave 201 employees across six offices Claude-powered agents and asked them to negotiate book trades.

After learning each person’s reading preferences, the agents pitched books, bargained and arranged exchanges with other agents.

Their predictions matched participants’ preferences on 61% of book comparisons. Stronger models also produced better trading outcomes.

The agents negotiated effectively, but sometimes misunderstood what their users preferred. The experiment shows that future personal agents may need better ways to confirm what people actually want.

The Human Brain May Begin as Two Developmental Systems

Stanford researchers found that the forebrain and midbrain begin from one group of early cells, while the hindbrain begins from another. The discovery could improve laboratory models for ALS—but these regions still function together as one connected brain.

🔹Higgsfield says its revenue run rate topped $1 billion

Higgsfield says its annualized revenue crossed $1 billion just 18 months after launch. The AI image and video platform also reports more than 30 million users and a tenfold increase in enterprise adoption since June. The milestone shows how quickly demand for AI creation tools is growing, though a revenue run rate is not the same as revenue earned over a full year.

🔹Muse connects with ElevenLabs to create campaigns from one message

Muse can now connect with ElevenLabs, letting users turn text into speech, generate images and build campaign assets through one request. The creative agent writes the prompts, selects the appropriate models and suggests improvements when results fall short. The integration aims to simplify content creation for people who do not want to manage models or master prompting.

How to Turn One Image Into a Cinematic Video

Higgsfield’s growth is attracting attention—but what can the platform actually do?

It lets creators animate still images using 50+ camera movements, including crash zooms, FPV drone shots, 360-degree orbits and bullet time. You can upload an image, select a movement, describe the action and refine the generated clip.

Microsoft adds Home, Code and Autopilot to Copilot

Microsoft introduced three new Copilot capabilities: Home brings Chat and Cowork together, Code helps people build their own tools, and Autopilot can keep working on tasks in the background.

Users will also be able to create and edit Word documents, Excel workbooks and PowerPoint presentations directly in Copilot. Home and Code will begin rolling out in the coming weeks; Autopilot enters private preview at the end of September.

AI May Be Creating More Jobs Than It Replaces

The Economist estimates AI has helped create around 1 million U.S. jobs since mid-2023, compared with roughly 200,000 AI-linked layoffs. Growth is reaching software and data roles—as well as electricians, HVAC specialists and grid engineers supporting data centers.

Plus: a 10-day AI film, courses, events, hackathons and fresh jobs.
