AI Solves Geometry Problems for Math Olympiad

Researchers from NYU and Google DeepMind created an AI system, AlphaGeometry, that can solve geometry problems from the International Mathematical Olympiad, a tough math contest for high-schoolers. AlphaGeometry uses neural networks and symbolic logic to make and check geometric proofs. It can solve Olympiad problems almost as well as a human gold medalist, a paper in Nature says.

The algorithm uses data from a statewide PCI registry, beats current risk tools, and includes patient feedback. The European Heart Journal published the results.
